Flower Care Tips

What do you do after receiving your floral arrangement?

Flowers are fleeting by nature—but with a little care, their beauty can linger just a bit longer. Whether gifted or gathered, each stem holds a story, and tending to them is a quiet ritual of presence. Below are a few simple steps to help your blooms stay fresh, vibrant, and full of life for days to come.

  1. Trim the stems
Gently cut 2–3cm off each stem at a 45° angle to encourage optimal water absorption.

  2. Prepare the vase
Fill a clean vase with fresh, room temperature water. Add flower food and place your blooms gently into the water.

  3. Remove excess foliage
Strip away any leaves that fall below the waterline, and remove any wilted petals to help prevent bacterial growth.

  4. Refresh daily
Change the water and re-trim the stems slightly each day to keep your flowers vibrant.

A few tips to prolong their beauty:

  • Keep arrangements away from direct sunlight, strong heat, and wind.

  • Cooler spaces help flowers bloom slower and last longer.
