Flower Care Tips
What do you do after receiving your floral arrangement?
Flowers are fleeting by nature—but with a little care, their beauty can linger just a bit longer. Whether gifted or gathered, each stem holds a story, and tending to them is a quiet ritual of presence. Below are a few simple steps to help your blooms stay fresh, vibrant, and full of life for days to come.
-
Trim the stems
Gently cut 2–3cm off each stem at a 45° angle to encourage optimal water absorption. -
Prepare the vase
Fill a clean vase with fresh, room temperature water. Add flower food and place your blooms gently into the water. -
Remove excess foliage
Strip away any leaves that fall below the waterline, and remove any wilted petals to help prevent bacterial growth. -
Refresh daily
Change the water and re-trim the stems slightly each day to keep your flowers vibrant.
A few tips to prolong their beauty:
-
Keep arrangements away from direct sunlight, strong heat, and wind.
-
Cooler spaces help flowers bloom slower and last longer.
